Peaceful holidays for the Norkring operational system
(2th of February) With good manpower and an emergency preparedness plan in place, Norkring was well equipped for the holiday season. As forecast, the weather was particularly bad with many weather alerts in numerous locations throughout Norway.
In recent years, Norkring has been working on securing energy both to and within the transmitter stations. Analyses show that about 65% of all disruption to Norkring’s services is due to the loss of external power. Several initiatives have been implemented, and operation figures show that these have been effective.

Norkring signed contract with Rejlers for field operations of the Norwegian broadcasting network
(25th of June 2015) Norkring AS and Rejlers Norge AS have signed a new field operations contract. The agreement includes exclusivity of field operations, fault corrections and maintenance of Norkring’s national terrestrial broadcasting network over the next five years.
