Imagine a job where you get to spend much of your working hour on top of Norwegian mountains, in all types of weather and in extreme conditions. There are many employees at Norkring who have dedicated significant parts of their lives to providing the Norwegian people with TV images and radio sound. In several places in Norway, we use both snowmobiles and helicopters due to the location and challenges posed by the weather.
Technology and development are of course important keywords in this context, but most important are the people behind it all. Human power has made it possible to expand the DAB network across Norway, and it is people who has carried out this job despite the challenges of climate and topography.
Employees at Norkring have been combing the entire country to find 765 of the best locations to install radio transmitters for the DAB Network, so that all of Norway can have a better radio experience.
